Christine Maryanna Gabriel is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) who works from a relational, systemic, trauma-informed and social justice perspective. She believes that mental health is shaped not only by individual experiences, but also by relationships, families, culture, community and the wider social conditions in which people live.
Her work focuses on helping individuals, couples and families understand relationship patterns, strengthen connection and navigate difficult life experiences with greater awareness and compassion. She is especially attentive to how gender, culture, power, inequality and socioeconomic circumstances can affect mental health and relationships.
Christine is also passionate about strengthening the quality of mental health care through clinical supervision, teaching and therapist training. She believes that good mental health practice should be ethical, relational, culturally responsive and accessible, with the wider goal of building healthier relationships, stronger communities and a more connected society.
Christine is committed to making quality mental health care more accessible. Sliding-scale rates may be available based on clients’ income and circumstances. This commitment also includes clinical teaching and therapist training, with the wider aim of strengthening good mental health practice, particularly in relational, couple and family care. Clients may, with their full consent, choose to have sessions recorded for teaching or supervision purposes, or allow a supervisee or trainee to observe a session. These arrangements may also make more affordable therapy options possible. Participation is always voluntary and based on informed consent.
